Henry Ford, an American engineer, manufacturer, and inventor, Ford Motor Company was the first to establish in-line conveyor production. Henry was born on June 30, 1863, in Michigan. His father, William, an Irish farmer, was dissatisfied with his son, labeling him a sissy and a slacker. Because he was hesitant to take on all of his father’s responsibilities on the farm. He detested animals and fresh milk.
He believed that he could accomplish something more useful than farming. When he was 12, his father gave him a watch. The man couldn’t help himself and unlocked the mechanism’s lid. He pondered the structure of the clock for a long time, then assembled and disassembled it, eventually concluding that the entire planet is a large mechanism, similar to a watch mechanism. Everything in life has levers, and in order to succeed, you must understand which levers to press at the appropriate time.
Another surprise for Ford was his encounter with the Locomobile, which he described as a “smoking and hissing beast.” At that moment, the child would have given his entire life to ride in a Locomobile. Henry dropped out of school when he was 15 years old and covertly traveled to Detroit at night, having only one thing in mind: he would never be a farmer.
Henry’s first job
He got a job at a factory that made horse-drawn carriages. But he didn’t stay long. Henry was very knowledgeable about the plant’s mechanics and was quick to identify and correct the problem. The other workers were envious, and they drove the young man out of the factory. After a while, he gets a job at the Flower brothers’ shipyard. He worked part-time repairing watches at night. But the money was barely enough to cover the cost of the room he rented.
He didn’t know how to make money right now. His father agrees to give him 40 acres of land on the condition that he forget about cars for the rest of his life. Henry agreed, but William had no idea that he had been duped. He had a bride, Clara, and he knew her parents would never marry off their daughter to a man who didn’t have a dime in his pocket for his soul.
Marriage life
He married Clara Brainat, a three-year younger woman. At a village dance, they ran into each other. Clara’s parents were also farmers. Soon after, he built a small house on his property and relocated with his wife.
When Henry and Clara moved to Detroit, Ford got a job as an engineer at the Detroit Electric Company. We must honor the wife because, no matter what happened, she was always by her husband’s side, in good and bad times. He was always easy to understand and I agreed with his decisions.
Edsel, the family’s first child, was born in November 1893. At the same time, Henry finished his experimental car, dubbed “Quadricycle,” which weighed only 500 pounds and ran on four bicycle tires.
In the same year, he was appointed chief engineer of the Edison Company, and in 1899, he was appointed chief engineer of the Detroit Automobile Company. However, management noticed that Ford did little business and spent the majority of his time working on his car. He is offered a position as a leader on the condition that he give up his car. Ford refused and decided to seek out those who would be interested in his ideas. But they were unnecessary. Finally, Henry found a Detroit businessman who agreed to collaborate with him.
The Detroit Automobile Company was founded, but it was short-lived. Because there was no demand for automobiles. Ford took over as manager of Ford Motors in 1903.
Car production
In 1905, Ford buys out Alexander Malcolmson’s share of the company, becoming the owner of a controlling stake and president of the Ford Motor Company. The production of a new model of the “T” automobile begins. Almost any American could afford this model. The Model “T” easily conquered the consumer market, with 15 million cars sold during its production years. We believe you will be intrigued by Ferrari’s success story.
Conveyor production, as well as a clear control and planning system, was used in the production of Ford vehicles. He began by establishing a minimum wage and an 8-hour workday.
